its funny i found this post btw cause i noticed the same exact loophole and came to this forum to see if anybody else noticed it.....it happenes to be the first topic i look at lol.
oh and i stand corrected again. sakamoto screwed the pooch. sorry team ninja. did an awesome job with the action and cinema btw......but u did still screw up item recovery by spoonfeeding us where all the damn locations were.
ya know if nintendo hadnt put out that damn timeline all of the continuity issues between mp3 and OM could have easily been resolved with putting mp3 after OM. uggg maybe nintendo power editors just put out there own theory but do not speak for any of the metroid storyboarders.........

It is impossible for any prime to be after OM. Zebes was referenced in prime. It is implied that Prime 3 took place months after Prime 2.
Sakamoto just doesn't give a crap about the prime series.
also, Retro wanted to delve too deep into the series with their stuff. they should have done self-contained tales like the mp1 and 2 stories that don't produce plotholes as easily.
Originally Prime was supposed to take place after Fusion, but they quickly took that back. That's why with the lead-up to Echoes, you saw the first official Metroid timeline.
I'm sure everything will work out guys! The prime series didn't make sense anyway, it was already not a part of the timeline b/c samus never mentioned it in Super Metroid! Problem resolved. Also the GFeds developed seeker missiles and diffusion technology, they're both acquired through little rainbow balls dropped out of enemies developed by the feds, hence them sending her diffusion missiles (accidentally) in Fusion. I think the question at stake here can't be answered in any way according to what took place in Other M. Toozin's right: we'll just have to wait for the next timeline wipe.
