In Super Metroid (if you didn't look at the section) when you receive a suit upgrade and the flash that shows the change, your pallete changes after you get the item, not during the flash. I only recently noticed this when I was testing suit pallete edits in game, and since the normal and varia suit where so differently colored I was able to notice that.
