not really a glitch so much as it is just really freaking awesome ^_^ (when I was playing I thought it was a glitch, but then I slowed it down and was like O_O daymn!)
It's a vague idea, but if a SW can be found here, then a lot of time can be saved in the escape. I'm guessing that we could just wallcrawl 2 rooms to the blast caps, then door warp into the next ventilation shaft thing
ptorflaxendrosis, have you tried playing with the blast caps before PQ with dolphin, you can bomb jump up there at the bottom of the elevator and play with the doors but I don't know that anyone has had any luck so far getting useful stuff to happen, sparky would know more
Also potential SW yes, speed trick no. Turns out that the room before this has no loading zone (that I or Baby Sheegoth can find) so if we can get oob it will be slow for we would need to wall crawl all the way around everything

I have heard about that, but I've never tried it. I don't exactly know what to do... I guess there's just a very small trigger for the explosion?
Paraxade (I think) and sparky where talking about is in ether this thread or the I need help thread a while ago, they both suck at explaining things iirc tho because I remember finding it and not being able to understand what they where talking about. Also on paraxades stream one time someone (sparky I think) was talking about how the underwater frigate and the frigate at the start of the game are "the same" and you can wall crawl from the underwater one back to the space frigate, if we can wall crawl from the frigate to the underwater one then we have some awesomeness here
unfortunately the videos no longer exist, but basically, through trickery you can get the two caps (covering the doors up there) to explode, which loads the walkway boundaries. if you are outside the walkway at the time there's afaik no way to get it. you explode the first cap by jumping up to this ledge on the wall to the upper left of it (facing the cap). this will load the walkway. then you can explode the second one in two ways (first being useless). if you go to the far side of the walkway, morph and roll under it, it'll pop and you're out of luck. if you go under the elevator, bomb jump up to a little ledge in the corner under the first cap, then bomb jump onto the elevator under the walkway, it's possible (though very, very tricky) to pop the cap and get pushed inside the walkway.
from here you can do the escape as you please, with no time limit. unfortunately, it's a moot point because at the very end, where "the room is depressurizing", the game freezes.
...
let's say you're standing on the elevator looking at the first cap. there should be a little invisible ledge (about where the walkway wall should be) on the left side that you can jump on. then somehow jump onto the pipe up on the wall (there may be another ledge before this, i only sort of remember). there should be a little diagonal piece sticking out that forms an alcove up there near the cap, if you morph there it should explode, forming the walkway.
there might be a better way for the second part, but here i would just drop down under the elevator. you can bomb jump up to this little corner ledge, and then use the sticky wall to get onto the elevator (stay near the edge though or the second cap will explode). i think the only way to get inside the walkway is to have upward momentum. this part was really hard for me so i never came up with a solid plan, but iirc i just laid a bunch of bombs and inched forward. the goal is to be shot up as the cap explodes, so you'll be pushed through the boundary.
...
oh whoops, looks like i forgot a step. the second cap won't explode until the first door closes (after popping the cap). the easiest way to do this iirc is to go on top of the elevator about midway through the walkway, and slowly move closer to the walkway wall. you should hear the the door close before moving close enough so the second cap explodes. then go under the elevator and try to get into the walkway (or come up with a better solution perhaps!). i think i've only managed it once or twice and i tried for quite awhile.

I tried this with XYZ mods and could get the room with the 2 turrets connected to the save station room to load but absolutely could not get the room before that to load. I'm pretty bored today so I'll try again.
Quote from itsPersonnal:
no. the room after the the depressurizing door will crash dolphin in or out of bounds
if you haven't triggered the escape ;)
This happens on the gamecube to (NTSC-00). It crashes exactly the same as if 3 rooms were loaded at the same time which is really strange. Maybe the escape hallway isn't actually connected but is a separate room that only correctly unloads when the 'depressurizing' event occurs.
Yeah I wasn't able to do anything to skip Parasite Queen. Killing her is what sets the flag to let you leave the frigate. Every room after the first ball lock is one-way only. A few of the rooms can be coerced into loading by entering their boundary even if their physical model hasn't been loaded but most can't and I'm not sure why.
The only speed up I see possible is if you use a secret world in Biotech Research Area 1 to go back through the way you original came in. I don't believe that there are any SWs in that room though and it might not really be a speed improvement.
Based on the time you got out at... it wasn't much of a speed improvement.
Though it was fun to watch Samus run out of the station still in her Varia Suit. I almost thought "le gasp. ILS for Prime 1!~" Then I remembered that the first time you land on tallon it sets your items anyways.
I'm sure if I just stayed outside of the map the whole time from Biotech Research instead of trying to go in/out it would have been faster. I'm horrible at speed play. You should see how many attempts it takes me to get Space Jump First using the right ledge... But anyway this is pointless unless someone finds a nearby SW. I tried really hard to go back the way of the save room but once the elevator room is unloaded it won't load again.
At 1:08-1:13 you'll notice that the door is blue, I shoot it, it fades, and then it returns blue. Also the escape music stops playing and returns to normal music. I think this has something strange to do with this pressurization room and probably why it crashes if you get there from the escape tunnel without defeating Parasite Queen. My assumption is that instead of 1 physical room with physical elements set to invisible, this room is actually 2 different rooms that are loaded depending on if the Parasite Queen flag is set.
Defeating Parasite Queen and then saving and reloading plays like normal except no timer or escape music. It is kind of strange that it saves that flag to memory card considering that there is no normal way to save between beating her and landing on Tallon and the flag is never again used.
