While finishing up my Hardmode speedrun quite a few months back, I noticed some sort of reaction from the ghost  with my movement. If you run in place and constantly turn left and right, the Chozo Ghost will rarely or never shoot lightning bolts. You can also change the spot your running in place to dodge the ghost itself if your careful enough. This proves really usefull in under 15% runs since your energytanks are much more limited and damage received is a lot more dangerous. Dont believe me? Load up your Zero Mission cartridge and give it a shot.

I remember saying this the last this came up, but I might as well post it again. You can also, instead of running back and forth, jump up and down or continuously wall-jump of one of the walls.

Also, it seems like moving left and right/jumping will not prevent the attack that sends electricity around the whole room, so that should probably be mentioned on the site.

The funny thing is I was doing this just the other day (not even realizing the effect this was having, nor knowing about this site) while I was waiting for the symbol to change.

hello everyone im new to the forum. and i found a rather useless but interesting glitch in crateria.

when you go to get the Power Grip, when you leave the little room its in you cant ever get back into that room cause the upper fall block that led you there is gone. and when you leave it, the statue in the tall room raises and forms blocks to let you power grip your way to the top.

i figured out that with the quick use of ducking and standing and bombing, you can get back into the room and when you come back out, the statue isn't raised but the platforms are still in the air.

---
i have a recording and i cant find out how to request a submission to the site. please point me in the right direction

Nice find. I tried this out myself and it works. To post the video, when you're posting, click on "add an attachment", then click browse and find the video. Then just finish your post and you will have the video in an attachment below your post.

I don't know if this really counts as a glitch, but pretty much whenever the in game timer is going, you can press select and switch from regular to super missiles.  For example, flying away in your ship from Tourian and Chozodia (I think), when you're on the save platform and the games loading, and after beating the Chozo Guy, when it says "You Got Your Fully Powered Suit".  There are probably other times you can do this, too.

What just happened to me was a very odd glitch. I had collected the first missle tank and was heading to the left to fight the Charge Beamst. I ran to where the battle was supposed to begin, but... I just ran right past the area. It didn't attack. The area was still shaking, but it didn't come down.

Shortly after collecting the bombs and heading for Norfair, it attacked me then, but I somehow 'skipped' the battle the first time. I wasn't doing anything different that usual. Any ideas that could lead to why this happened?  Question

Conclusion #1: It didn't happen.
Conclusion #2: An enemy flied out from the acid pool, and started flying left, merely following you. For some reason, it caused a sprite to disappear for exactly one frame, which is 0.016 seconds, and in the exact moment you passed the trigger sprite that didn't exist. This is probably impossible and most likely very unlikely to happen, so I stand by conclusion # 1.

It really did happen. I promise. I just don't know how it did...

With you having no proof or evidence whatsoever, it's very hard to believe you, I'm afraid.

If it did happen and it's easy to do, getting those random drops in the first segment wouldn't be a problem anymore, lol.

I'll be back. Maybe...
was it on emulator or console? what game/rom version?
were you doing anything particularly odd that might have caused the glitch? was the game doing anything particularly odd that might have been symptomatic of the glitch? were any cheat codes or patches active at the time of the glitch? are you able to reproduce the glitch?

these are the six questions it is important to answer before we can know more about any glitch.

I am very well aware it is hard to beleive me without proof.

Skreemaster: I wasn't playing it on a rom or using cheats or anything. The only things I were using were the game and a Nintendo DS. Also, as far as I know, nothing strange was going on in the game. I can't do it again, either. I think it might have been a 1-time glitch...

Time bomb set get out fast!
DS, eh?  That's been known to cause abnormal behaviour.  In Battle Network 4, the WoodMan scenario can freeze your game if you're playing on a DS.
