Oh, so a gimmie shot basically? (At least for anyone around here.)
Edit: Yikes, this is a bad sign on my part. 22350 points, level 120ish. Any of them I couldn't get within a few seconds I skipped in order to save time. (Then there were some I either flat out guessed on, or else the hint gave me enough to figure it out.) Out of all of that, only ONE Metroid reference (Prime at 95ish - A shot of Samus in the Power Suit on the pause menu. Didn't hurt that I saw that image only a few hours ago since I started playing Prime today.) and two or three Zelda shots. Quite a few Mario games in there.
27775 at level 105 or so, really fun game. Had a couple of 1 second left saves towards the end. Its amazing how many games you can name that you have never played.
OH GOD DAMN IT! I thought I was gonna be real nifty and score just above what you did, and when I reach about 65000 or so (with 50+ seconds left on the clock) I think to myself that I should drag the tab down so that it opens in another window, so I could do a screenshot without any clutter. But of course I am a huge fucking idiot for not realizing that it doesn't actually _move_ the tab you have up, but opens a new window and automatically closes the tab you had open. So that's half an hour in the sink for not wanting to spend 10 seconds in paint cutting the picture down.
I can't go more than around 10K because there are so many that I don't know - even with the hints. I keep skipping them but eventually they pile up on me and I run out of time. Theres about 20 of them that I REALLY want to know what game it is.
If you describe the picture I might be able to help if it's more of a current-gen game :P
As for the hints, I never bothered to use them since in my first run through whenever I used them they would be crappy hints and it would have just saved time and points to skip to the next one.
Cool, thanks. I;m not sure if the FF clue mentions the sequel number or not, but they usually do. At least now I have a basis for guessing.
Also - what's a three letter indie game?
I'm also recalling a VERY retro screen shot, possibly from atari days. It's all black'n'white with groups of small yellow squares on it, like some sort of tactical diagram. the clue has to do with ninjas.
And there's one that shows some small object on a rooftop. It's in Black'n'white.
I finally saw two different metroid screenshots. One was Mother Brain from super and the other was an image of power suit samus on the menu screen in Prime. I was a little surprised to see IWBTG, not sure why though.

Is it N, the Way of the Ninja? When I got that one (If we're thinking of the same image) all you have to do is put in "N" and it gives you it.

Does it looks like thers a bird flying in the sky? I've gotten that one a TON and I have no idea what it is.
I guess I'll give this game another shot and see which ones I don't recognize.
You need to rememebr that a lot of the picture actually require the number. Megaman, Final Fantasy, and Street Fighter do this. The green guy with orange hair is Blanka, from Street fighter 4, Cloud is from Final Fantasy 7, and the DKC one is Donkey Kong Country 3. As for the V______ H______, possibly Vandal Hearts? That's the only one I can think of.
So as far as the ones I know I'll (most likely) be getting: - Metroid: Other M Aug 31 - Kirby's Epic Yarn Oct 17 - GoldenEye Nov 16 - DKC Returns Nov 21
That's a heck of a list, and that doesn't even include games like Super Scribblenauts, Epic Mickey, and NBA Jam that I'll be checking out first.
I'll no doubt get Metroid, because it's Metroid. I'll try Goldeneye and DKC just for the (remote) possibility that they are half the games the originals were.
