Knowing Ark and MM, he's probably got the whole game memorized.
If you don't have MM memorized you can't be in the cool kids club.
I have the important bits memorized, but there's no way I'll be able to memorize every little bit for every person at whatever times. I could probably complete the game 100% without text though.
that doesn't seem to be the case from looking at the manual. but yeah, i don't even think us n64s can play japanese games; i just bought it because it's got some neat art (japanese 64 manuals are way bigger) and is one of my favorite games.

Oh I assumed you got just the cartridge. That's fucking awesome if it's with manual and box.
So what are your most wanted games of 2010? Talking about this in another topic I got curious about M2K2's must-haves.
Already Have - Bayonetta: I won the online auction today. Will be playing this next Friday, if all goes well.
Must - Mega Man 10: Guaranteed 50+ hours of win. - Super Mario Galaxy 2: Sequel to (aye-em-oh) the best game of this generation. - Metroid: Other M: The game I'm most curious about, since we know little of how it's gonna play, and Team Ninja is developing. - God of War III: Laaa-RAAA-LARA-LAAAAAA ~ - No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle: More crazy please! - Dead Space 2: If it comes out in 2010, that is... - BioShock 2: My least anticipated of the list, but I'm sure it'll be worth playing.
Might - Dante's Inferno: Will wait for reviews and impressions. - Resident Evil 5 DLC: Will wait for reviews and impressions and if my Internet decides to cooperate. - 2009 left-behinders: Arkham Asylum, Muramasa, Shattered Memories... will get them on my trip to Florida if the price is good. - Whatever other interesting games that aren't the above. I just can't afford so many. =\
I can't really think of any games coming out that I;d say I really need to get. Other M I guess, but most recent games seem pretty meh and I don't think 2010 is going to change that,
God of War 3 (practically guaranteed to kick ass) Mario Galaxy 2 (watched the trailer a dozen times, looks fun as hell) Other M (the 'M' stands for 'mandatory' as far as I'm concerned) Dark Void (been anxious about this one, looks like it could be a big one)
bioshock 2 is the only 2010 game i'm very much looking forward to. dark void, other m, galaxy 2, and zelda wii are more "well maybe they'll be good". probably not going to bother with nmh2.
still need to get arkham asylum, fallout 3, dead space: extraction, and shattered memories.
Well, according to what I just saw on Gamespot, I'm sure most of us will probably put Zelda Wii on the most wanted list if everything pans out as Nintendo expects this time around. It's apparently being targeted for October: http://www.gamespot.com/news/6244984.html
But as for what I want this year:
Mass Effect 2 - Based on how much we know about the games in my list, this is at the moment the one I am anticipating the most, and luckily it's only three weeks away from release.
Bioshock 2 PKMN HeartGold Super Mario Galaxy 2 Metroid: Other M Star Wars: The Old Republic (KOTOR MMO) Zelda Wii
I think that about covers it for the moment. I can't think of too many other games that I'd place as high as these ones based on what I know is targeted for this year. And if they somehow come out this year, you can add StarCraft II and Half Life 2: Episode 3 to my list.
I haven't bought Arkham Asylum yet either. I'm not sure if I would like it. The videos I have seen look great but it's all cutscenes and I'm nervous about it being one of the 'interactive movies' I have been getting ever since buying a PS3. I guess I just need to know more about the actual gameplay.
A new wii Zelda would definitely be the most exciting thing I could think of for 2010 (other than MoM of course). I really think ninty will respond to the lack-of-difficulty complaints surrounding TP.
Oh, it had its fair share of cutscenes, but there is definitely enough gameplay to be satisfied. There's a good amount of side information through audio tapes and such about the Batman world and characters as well, which I actually found to be pretty interesting since I didn't really know that much about Batman outside of the movies, now that I've gone through the game and seen all of the bits and pieces they included. You have platforming elements, some environment and enemy based puzzle solving, riddles to uncover, and a few boss battles here and there to mix things up. All the while you are Batman, so that means you get gadgets to use, being able to move and attack from stealth, and if all else fails a fist fight with some thugs. (Oh, and your brain to solve the puzzles to.)
I'm trying to think of a game or two I could relate the gameplay in Batman to, but for some reason nothing's coming to me at the moment. It's got a bit of this and that thrown in to a great overall package. Now that I think about it, part of the gameplay reminds me of Metroid or Zelda in that at certain points you get access to something new that will either let you access a new area or better explore one that you've already been in. And you end up going back to most of the main buildings on the island several times over the course of the game too, but for the most part they aren't the same each time you come back as part of the storyline until the very end of the game where you can run around and pickup anything you missed.
Arkham Asylum, as I recall, gets most of the cutscene stuff out of the way pretty early on, after that they only really pop up where you'd expect a cutscene to pop up. None of them are overly long and as a rule the voice acting owns so hard that it wouldn't be too terrible to have a long cutscene anyway. But the game does a good job of just letting you do your thing with out harassing you too much.
Is there any exploration in Arkham Asylum? Every time I saw someone playing it they were just walking around small hallways killing people. I don't get what all the fuss is about.
Sort of, You do have to do quite a bit of work to find most of the riddles. For the most part you know where you're supposed to be and it's a matter of working your way through that area in the most Batman way possible, but you're free to run around the island to your heart's content throughout most of the game. The combat is really, really fun, but it doesn't really shine unless your taking on groups with some mixture of weapons. Guys with knives and tasers have to be handled differently than the regular unarmed guys, and guns are just all around bad news and will remain so until the fight is over. But hopping into any fight with ten or so guys and wiping the floor with them is great fun, part of it is the animations throughout the fight; launching yourself across the room to kick a guy in the head is cool, doing so then tossing out some batarangs, yanking guys the floor with the Bat Claw and finally rocketing across the room for a ground takedown that involves punching a dude in the balls so hard he passes out is just hilarious and wonderful.
The best part for me though, is the stealth bits. Screwing around with the thugs is too much fun and I like to see how many I can string up from the various gargoyles around the room.
Just ordered Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for 14 euros, which is awesome seeing the cheapest unused copy I could find in germany was pretty close to 30 euros.
Also it seems playing PSP games on a TV only works if the TV is capable of progressive scan, which mine isn't. Good thing I checked the internet before ordering any cables. D:
Anyways, looks like I can join in on the SOTN fad soon.
