international and german forums should be complete. there should only be isolated posts that are missing now. please feel free to report them and i'll move them over from the old forum.

some personal messages are gone.
okay, they are not gone, they just have no text :?
maybe because of special characters.

you should be able to check out your old pm's at the old forum here:

I appreciate having the SM hacks board be a child of the SM board, as it both makes sense and keeps the hack threads out of the way of the nonhack ones.  But is there any possibility that a "mark all topics read" button could apply to child boards as well as the main board?  The original problem of new replies to hack topics looking like there are new replies to nonhack topics from the board index still applies.  That is, on the index there doesn't seem to be a distinction between new replies in the parent board and new replies only in the child board.

(At least... I think that's the case.  Since I stupidly marked all the hack-board topics read before writing this, I can't double-check before posting this.  Sigh.)

Samus will not be wearing her helmet if there are only child board replies.

The mark all topics read button does apply to child boards as well as main boards, if that's what you were wanting.

The lack of helmet is, um, subtle.  I appreciate its relationship to the suited/suitless markers for new replies, but it's not very visible.

Okay, checking now I see that the mark all topics read button does clear the child board as well.  I could've sworn that it didn't, but I was probably thinking I'd used the button when actually I'd just manually checked every topic in the parent board that time.  D'oh.

Saber's idea was that the less posts there are, the less Samus is wearing. I agree that the lack of a helmet may not be too obvious, but I suspect you'll get used to it, especially since you'll now know to look out for it.

Changing the icons beside "New Posts" and "No New Posts" beneath the fora will help users a great deal as well; Saber just needs to get around to doing it.

At least we haven't been getting spambots here, though.

Except for one, but that may have been an actual user. I'm not sure.

Great to see that attachments are still here.

This isn't entirely true. I've either missed something obvious for the past several days, or I've been placed in a usergroup that is unable to see attachments.

Actually I can only see one attachment, and it's mine. I'm not even sure if that "0 DLs" message is even true.

the donkey said, "god gave me a tail to swat at the flies, but i'd rather have no tail and no flies."

but i think reality is a bit less depressing in this case, because there are still people writing spambots, this forum is mostly an out-of-the-box installation, it's still written in php and you are still a badass.
