Here is a rare version of a 14% run that uses the Speed Booster instead of the much more common Ice Beam, for which AFAIK no run was ever recorded before.

It features a risky route that requires some complex techniques such as wall-to-diagonal bomb jumping, some exhaustive boss fights due to the weakest beam, and extremely high luck manipulation in order to pass Tourian's Metroid rooms in one turn without backtracking to refill Power Bombs. Game completion is a mid 0:41.

Played in realtime (with one exception to perform a short charge for the Zebetite skip that I couldn't do otherwise), but using savestates for consistency and the mentioned luck manipulation. Recorded on Snes9x 1.43 v12 on the NTSC/(JU) ROM. Enjoy!

So far, from the beginning to the bombs, you play a lot like I do. Mixed with the way I used to play.

Awesome run, man and best of all, it was done in real-time. The route was the most optimal I guess, taking Ridley first and then Draygon to avoid backtracking (btw, very clever the idea to use the SSpark to escape Maridia). I'll really like to explore this route/15% run a bit more and try this sometime.
