Multiplayer is sooooo much better.  Find 3 friends!  Build 3 robots if you can't find 3 friends!

Heh. I rented it and played it one player... it's insidous. It took me till year 5 (IIRC) to realized that I had been bored to tears the whole time. But yeah, I can see lots of people would probably make this a game to remember.

Smack em around and tell them to get one (it's argueably the best system out there... IMO)

First weekend after FF:CC came out, the group of us split into 2 groups, and we had *2* cubes of 4 players each all playing FF:CC simultaneously.

My group was so awesome, we ended up only ending shifts when the SP battery died.  We managed to get nearly 40 hours in during that 3 day weekend, and we still had time to DDR and (the majority) slept a little bit.  (i barely slept.)

Amazingly fun game, damn was it worth the money, and the absurd cost of equipment to get it all set up.  (which wasn't really a problem, we have 9 GBASP's between all of us, i have a spare GBA, and i own 3x GBA-GC link cables, not to mention other people have em.)

we'll probably play through it again sometime.. maybe this week?

i'm tempted to buy a second hand GBA. I should be able to get one for like 40 euros or even less. Is it really worth to buy one just for FF:CC?

i would suggest it would be a good idea to convince a FRIEND to buy a GBA instead.  I however, do own 3x GBA-GC links (1 from animal crossing/metroid prime, one from the pre-order bonus, another one cause i payed 3$ for it)

I also happen to own 2GBA's (an old one and an SP)

in my personal experience, the multiplayer isn't worth it for 2 people, but thats probably just becuase i got spoiled and haven't played it with less than 4 people except for maybe 4 hours or so. (our of the 40ish ive played)

Having 2 GBA's is very useful, but its not something i would suggest owning unless you don't own an SP yet, or you have some gigantic pokemon fetish like me and need to trade between the 2 versions of the game. (like me)

No. If you think about it, 2 players just means someone has to control the moogle and get totally freakin screwed.

why do people think that you can't just drop the chalice when battle starts?  its not that big of a deal to carry the bucket, i usually did carry the bucket... the person with the bucket has the most power, and should be melee, so s/he can drop the bucket closer to the monsters.

2 player isn't bad because of the chalice, its just because its crap compared to 3 and 4 person play... probably due to the lack of different classes or something.

I've got crystal chronicles myself, but currently have no-one to play it with either. I'm enjoying it, but I can only play a couple of hours single player at a time, though. In two weeks time I'll be seeing a couple of friends who would be interested in it, so I should be able to enjoy multiplayer properly. And if one of them owns a GBA and is willing to buy a GC-GBA cable we can even do 3 players (I own 2 GBAs and 2 cables myself. Actually, if you count my GB player I own 3 GBAs but that's besides the point).

I agree dropping the chalice isn't a problem for 2 players. I often make mog drop it so I can use spell fusions in 1 player. Besides, even in 4 player someone has to hold it.

I love this game. It's the best with 3 people or more. 2 player is fun but not as much because: one of you has to carry the chalice then you have to put it down to fight. I love this game I am in year 5 but i took a break so I could play MGS:TTS now I'm just waiting for the guide (It's not a hard game I just want to play with the guide.)

Heh heh..

Anyway-
I played FFCC with a friend in Lynari Desert for a good Hour or so(I can get through Moschet Manor in 30 minutes!),beat Antilion, and we had two origanal GBA's(I'm keeping it,I don't need no SP!)
We got every chest, everything except the mystery element. Ack. My friend was a Very Strong Clavat, and myself a Lility. I told him that he wasn't fully powered yet,and that I can get the best weapon in the game. I carried the challiece(sp?) and he fought. We switched, and I pummeled and abused the Lamias particularly. :D  I am SO evil...great fun if your friends love FF.

FF:CC is good, I hated playing multiplayer though, I'd have the best charecter yet my friend would never carry the chalice. I'd say "Carry the chalice already!" He'd say "Ok" Right when he got to the chalice he'd say "I'm hungry." and go get something to eat. I hated when they pause you can't kill them in the miasma. When he got back he'd say "Pick up the chalice!" and he'd normally die...

A FF:CC for the DS has been announced, and will be playable on the E3 show floor.

that is all.
