I'm more than a little disappointed at how much of a total dud festivus has turned out to be this year. The strict rules on what to do and what not to do has many in fear of being pants-ed to the point of non-participation, therefore Fesitivus is a DUD. Even though the rules have been stated, rephrased, repeated, etc doesn't really matter since each situation is different and the rules, however vague, are often hard to make relevant in each situation, so many posters err on the side of NADA. I say the theme song of this year's festivus is 'Silent Night'.
Ummm...haven't at least half of the most talented people in here signed up after that date? You know, the kind of people who make this site THE place for bat-shit crazy 'troid playing?
Yeah, seriously. I mean, just look at me. I'm the best person here. I say it's just the old people aren't being interesting enough. Geez guys, spice things up a bit. Festivus is almost over and it's only three pages.
I'm sick of people who seem hell-bent on all this nostalgia around some 'good old days' and around Metroid Prime, regardless of how this place seems to have evolved to much much more than that. I can understand how the whole hack scene got out of control and started going to a place where the site didn't really want to go, but that's it.
i am disappointed in opium this festivus for not having any christmas miracles yet although if he is not the one to post immediately after me then it will be a christmas miracle!
Ummm...haven't at least half of the most talented people in here signed up after that date?
The joke is that the day I mentioned is the day after I registered.
Granted, I suppose it would have been easier to get my joke if I logged on, but I guess I can still blame you for having a sense of humor roughly equivalent to that of a cow.
This goes out to everyone who hangs out in #metroid: You disappoint me that you didn't start up any interesting and/or hilarious discussions this year!
And thus ends another disappointing Festivus, a testament to how Arkarian's Wonder Garden, spawned by the spam-like chatty nature of taiga, and animu watching threads that would have been a far better idea to do in IRC or keep private, have ruined the once thriving and wonderful community of m2k2 FOREVER.
See you here again in December 2011, where despite what anyone says we will do this again, and then we'll see how many people are interested in actually airing any grievances with a point, and how many people utterly don't understand the rules of this fine holiday tradition and will be shot down by the next clothing article of choice - I'm thinking socks.
A BELATED MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR, FUCKERS.
