hi noob here, i have dial up so i haven't searched much, but from what i've seen online noone has a way of escaping tourian even with glitches but i'm halfway out by exploiting the phase-spazer beam glitch. obviously this could be common knowledge that it's possible to get out of tourian but i haven't found any solutions during my searches. feel free to call me noob or delete this entire topic if this is meaningless to anyone. be aware that i did this with an emulator to save time, although i own the real thing.
i'm currently in the room with the dusty giant bird.... i'm sure you all hate me for not bothering to look up or remember his name. i got past the grey door in the long room full of dusty creatures by repeatedly using the glitch and using load state each time it froze.
now i'm going to go back and get past the next grey door, so i'll come update when i do or decide i can't.
as i said, feel free to delete this and i'm sorry if this is a waste of time.
update: no replies yet, but i managed to get out entirely, with a particularly odd experience in the statues room. there's extensive graphical distortion, and saving and restarting causes the reset glitch to restart the entire game and intro. i'm going to try to fix the graphics in the meantime. this method of getting out of tourian caused all the items to reset as well as bosses, so i guess this information is useless to anyone wanting to simply get the items they missed. i also changed the subject from "currently escaping" to "escaped". i'll be happy to metion how i did it in more detail if anyone cares.
