yeah

I know doing the Draygon Quick kill is the fastest way to kill draygon, but is it really the fastest way in a speedrun to do that fight? I mean, you would want to get the blue suit from draygon in order to shinespark across the large room before him, right? Or does the time saved by not charging up more shinesparks make up for the time lost by not having the blue suit?

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

I find that it's much more consistent, and barely any slower, to just Super him to death, and then perform a running-speed Space Jump across the big room on the way out. Blue suit and shinespark method probably only saves a second - two at most, and is not worth the time messing about for the spark if you fail once. If you're quick, and can get three (or more) Supers into him on his first swoop, you can finish him on his very next swoop. (Providing he does the gunk, of course)

Woah woah woah. You can shoot him more than once in one swoop? I've always had to shoot him once for every swoop, and I couldn't hurt him when he uses gunk. I've got to try this.

Shooting him when he's firing gunk is relatively trivial when you manage to get "into" his belly and walk the direction he's facing while firing diagonally upwards. That's usually how I manage to defeat him suitless.

Does anybody know how to guarentee getting a blue suit on draygon upon shinesparking him to death?. It seems random whether i get it or not?

This thread has good info since I've been trying to do this.

I did kill him with a shinespark, but you're not supposed to press the Run button again after you kill him... I think that's what I did, and why I lost it. "It" = Blue Suit. Razz

I say Draygon is female because she has babies. It is possible that 'it' reproduces from asexual division, for little is known about giant aquatic boogers at this time.

I'd say that the race only has one gender, and that it reproduces not by interaction with other draygons but instead by shooting that gunk on other living beings. After you have been hit by the gunk Draygon picks you up and tries to kill you/knock you unconscious, I figure that after this it carries you to its nest where the gunk will slowly infest your body and turn you into an adorable little new born Draygon.
