I was playing around and was going to enter the right side of the wrecked ship(again)(Before the battle with Phantoon). On my way I was in Maridia in the big room at the top of the Shortcut pipe. I shot the Locked door(Leads to the plasma beam) with the wave beam and I heard the sound of a door opened. But the locked door didnt even open. I checked the doors in the below area and they were still closed.

Okay?  That's wierd.  Didn't get you anywhere, but it's cool.

What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Yep, I've seen this before.  There are some bizarre randomly placed yet invisible tiles and such in Super Metroid.  Try shooting the ceiling to the right of the top door in Crocomire's room (with the Wave Beam, of course).  You'll hear a bunch of crumbling noises, like you shot through crumbly rocks.

the plasma beam door happened to me a lot, when i was first playing the game and it happened i was freaking out because i was a little kid and back then i was bad at videogames, and i had no idea what to do, haha. I think it happens everytime you try, as long as you haven't saved after shooting it, and the gray door isn't open.

from what i understand, the game places 2 doors in some places, a normal door, and the metal door.  the wave beam shoots through the metal door and opens the normal door, giving you the sound.

Time bomb set get out fast!
This glitch is one of the many fun things covered in Brickroad's Super Metroid Glitch FAQ.  It's in the SM section at GameFAQs.

Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
It's what bob-e said: There's a blue door behind the grey door that you can open. There are a few other rooms like that, as well.
The glitch blocks in Crocamire's room are a completely unrelated glitch. I don't think anyone knows why those are there, only that they appear in 8x1 rooms.
