Well I wasn't really sure what to title this thread, but anyhow. So this one girl I'm friends with drew a picture of Charme from Recettear, and I liked it so I scanned it and decided to go over the whole thing in photoshop.
Here's a picture of the chick she drew:

Here's the drawing after I scanned it (since it was done in pencil, a LOT of the color got washed out when I scanned it in, it looks better IRL. You can't even see her skin color, but whatever). The drawing IRL is like 5 inches tall, so this is also really blown up:
Oh by the way, all of the pictures bellow are a third of their normal size since otherwise they would be huge.
First I went over all the outlines in photoshop and just made that the top layer:
After that, a new layer for the color under the outline layer, and after filling it in I got this:
Then once I got everything colored I had to go around and shade everything:
and then I was done. The only tools I used for the whole thing is the polygonal laso and paint bucket, which would explain why things are so blocky and straight looking.neither of us are like super crazy artists or anything, but I thought I'd post it here just because.
Heres the full-sized finished picture. I was thinking about adding a background and stuff, but nyeh.
