If you're on an internet message board to get somewhere in life you're doing it wrong. Even in real life, if your only motivation is to "get somewhere," you'll likely find it extremely unsatisfying. As for the seriousness of this forum, the social boards are exactly the place for this kind of thing, if this was posted on one of the Metroid 2002 or specific Metroid boards it'd probably have been locked or moved right off. The Boardwalk is the last place I'd look for serious business.

Nah, the exact opposite is true. Beer is far easier to get in VA, or at least it's in more places— in my county in Maryland, grocery stores/pharmacies aren't allowed to carry it, but here they are.

I'm here for speech classes, and some other guys I met here and I are hanging out one last time tonight.

Sorry for breaking in on whatever the currect discussion has veered to.

How I feel about alcohol. For an example; Take a person that gets attacked by a dog when they are young. They could grow up hating all dogs or just certain ones.

Alcohol had a very negative impact on me in my younger years. Well, what it made someone I Loved do, and what almost happened to them because of it's abuse.

I do have alcoholophobia. I know my fear and hatred of it is a tad irrational, but I fully embrace that hatred of it with glee. I can not be trusted around drunks. They should hope their affairs are in order.

Yeah. It's got me that f'ed up.

I remember tasting coconut rum (a friend of mine put a little of it in my Sprite, but hey, it was New Year's of 2007) and it tasted very horrible. I ended up dumping my drink and had to sober up on the couch [edit-for five minutes]. I was only 12.

I gave up all alcoholic drinks 9 years ago. With the exception of the one time I was in Copenhagen, Denmark and the nicest Danish man handed me a dark ale that made me get plastered, I haven't had a drink at all. Living in Las Vegas where alcohol is free 24/7, people think its very weird that I don't drink. I get alot of alcoholics coming up to me and winking like they know my 'secret'. I never was an alcoholic, I just always hated alcohol. I hated the taste, the way it made me feel, the way it made me embarassed the next morning, I hated everything about it, so one day I said 'thats it, no more!' and I actually did it.

Anybody who overshots being alcoholic is practically going to be a hobo-ish bum the rest of his life.

Beer in general tastes like shit. Two high school students admitted they had a little bit of beer (in fact, the last day of school they told me take Miller Lite).

Wine in general tastes really strange. Maybe it's my taste buds preferring sodas.

And is it true you get more drunk having some alcohol in soft drinks? My brothers argued about that at dinner some months ago.

You get more drunk the more alcohol you have. It doesn't matter what it's in.

No I wasn't that I got wasted. Just getting a little buzz made me a retard. I would say something, then the little voice in my head would say " Why did you just say that, you dork! " It made me feel dizzy and woozy, and my eyes felt heavy and warmer and wetter than normal. I just don't enjoy that feeling I guess.
My downfall has always been amphetamines. I was an IV meth addict for 6 years, and when I finally quit that I couldn't play video games for almost a year because they made me want to get high. No more SPEED runs, lol!
