My VCR doesn't work anymore =( It does record but in awful quality and i mean AWFUL, with lines going across the screen oftenly blocking all the action.

Altough i do have my first segment of my run in a cassette that is safe i can't keep recording for now, hopefully i might be able to use the DVD recorder but who knows. I will keep trying because i have to finish my run.

I'll say whatever I want about him until he proves he can do this run.

I didn't say "can't flame you for anything" I said "can't flame you for disappearing" since he made this thread some while ago and obviously isn't missing.

You never answered my question, by the way.

Would you believe Sparky if he said he got a :59 in Prime, with no video proof?

Sure. I'd trust sparky with my m2k2 password.

Was gonna say life, but that would probably be going a bit too far.

You've gone far enough. You can no longer be trusted. Get 'im, boys.

With a post count like that, it looks as though trusting someone with your m2k2 password is trusting them with your life. =P

I don't blame you, aside from my 37 run that never arrived from nate there hasn't been another video of me playing and more especifically the tricks I plan on using.

I did release however a PAL run that only blueglass was able to see but de-synced but so far i keep improving my runs, now i have much more control over my nerves and better corner hanging abilities.

If you want though I can make a vid of the NTSC version of the ROM playing in the exact same way I plan on using when making my record.

In the meantime, I'm certain this community would love to hear some of the tricks and strategies you're using to get sub-32. I know I'm curious.

Just do the same run as Hotarubi with all the tricks succesfull and better boss fights. Segmented it's easier. I don't see what more would you need, but in some places a bit better overall speed would be nice.

That would definitely be interesting to see, and you can practise your skills very well and easy without the need to spend much time with a DVD or VCR recorder, and still show your runs to eventually get some useful suggestions on further improvements for them. You should just use a joypad as close to SNES as possible to not lose the feeling compared to playing on keyboard.

I thought you explained everything pretty well in your old topic(s).

However, I was curious about one thing: how do you get away with not collecting any refills from kraid?

I do collect refills, however i don't get them all. Like in all my boss fights I shoot to open the door as soon as possible and while I follow the shot i get some health.

About my tricks it is basically like hotarubi's run, only with all the tricks working. The only mayor changes might be that I 2 round phantoon and use the blue suit(most of the times, if my health is low I just use it to collect powerups. Also when entering wrecked ship I stick to the super missile entry.

As for recording my run anyone knows where can I get a NTSC ROM? I know it's not allowed to post it here so a PM would be appreciated.

Google was the one who led me in first place to an european ROM >_>

Anyway thanks to P.J I just got a source for the ROM, thanks.
