I just did the same thing earlier with a video. Having the url tags makes it so that anybody who clicks on the video to watch it will load up another tab of the video on its YT page.

Well, constantly switching to a new engine every time a new technology came out is probably the biggest factor. They had to start again from practically scratch every time.
