yep, earlier in this thread i was talking about that. we'd have to find a sw in that elevator which is yeah ... not very likely. who knows though.

I was thinking today about vmr. Has anyone tried to do the wtr glitch, or whatever it is called when you jump by a door and the room blacks out, and then reload the textures around you. There might be an abysmally small chance that you can load yourself in the heated room without being hit by the heat. This is just purely thought though since I have been unable to do a wtr glitch on any of the doors thus far but i don't even know how to really do the glitch so im probably not the best person to be trying.

Edit: just did a search on wtr glitch and it doesn't look like any of the magmoor rooms we can try are ones where wtr can be performed, that sucks.

Well, I think that I have discovered how to skip the Varia Suit, but before to confirm it, I need know one thing.

In this Paraxade´s video (...):

Since 0:24 until 0:56 he´s jumping and climbing in the air. Well, can I do IT in all places? The answer is important because if it´s "yes", perhaps is possible to do a 20%.

He's doing an aether jump.... which is possible everywhere OUTSIDE the level...

Well, I will try to make a video about my idea this weekend (I am not sure if I will be able to do it because I´m very bad in 21%). If I can´t do it, I will explain it with videos of other people.

it's ok if you have other items (like spider, e-tanks, etc) while testing as long as you don't actually use them in the rooms we're trying to solve. the only item you shouldn't have though is space jump, since it affects bomb jumping height and other stuff.

Low% varia skip is alt 21% at best, unless someone can pull off that Magmoor Workstation SW I suppose...

hmm i didn't even think about that. yeah seems like we'd to somehow not take damage while sw'ing from burning trail.

you're right ... if anything, alt 21% might be the best we can do.

you have to press jump while crossing the boundary of the outside of the level and the void, i believe.

i dunno, i'm a partaker of the "mash B" method myself.

A few questions about 21% as it is now

1) Is it possible to get the Plasma Beam and return to the SW, or do you have to go back in bounds to continue?

2) Is there a no-SJ secret world that would allow us to wallcrawl from the PBs to the Artifact of Warrior?

3) Is is possible to climb frigate crash site backwards without SJ?

1. in paraxades video he is forced back into a sw when leaving the plasma beam room because the roof is not raised so you can probably continue in the sw state if you want.
2. i don't know the answer to this one.
3. yes. by the ice door to enter the frigate, it involves bomb jumping up on a rock and then dashing over to the slanted hill. from there you jump/walk up the hill a ways and then bomb jump up the last tall slanted wall.

1) you can easily re-enter the secret world with sj by climbing up the spider blocks and just jumping out. i've never confirmed it or anything, but i'd think you could also do it without sj.
2) kinda. you can use the one in metroid quarantine b and then either climb up ppc and head to warrior or double back and head back the other way. you can't get into the closer sw without sj though (afaik!).

Thardus jump isn't even close to being the hardest trick in 21%, and it's not even required. I think no one will have the will to do a speed run until a tas is done.
