also, there's a little ledge that lets you jump to the normal ledge in tft, and you can make the dash all without sj. that part's not a problem at all.
Ceiling of phazon elevator is able to be shot through, so that's good. I'm getting close to it, but the sides seem smooth near the top. If there was some sort of glitch like the one in echoes where you slowly rise up in the elevator, it'd be perfect.
there's these "sticky" spots on the invisible wall near the elevator. it's to your right as you face the 'vator -- you can stand on the horizontal beam right near the floor and jump and sort of press into the thick vertical beam. sometimes i get stuck in midair but so far haven't been able to do anything. btw i'm doing this with space jump so who knows if it's even useful.
i'm done for now, but if anyone has an ar they should muck around the top of twin fires. in particular, the top of the close side near the stalactite and the wall. there's some funky stuff around there, but it's pretty tricky to play with without flying.

We do need more than just some fancy SWs though. It is my understanding that wallcrawling for extended periods involves having to 'open doors', to force adjacent rooms to load. And, well, with the obvious distorted order in which beams will be acquired in a 20%... I could see some... additional issues developing.
baby sheegoth: posts like the one you just made are absolutely useless. we've already covered everything you said. don't bother posting in this thread unless you're going to actually add something.

nah, you can get just about any room to load while in a sw regardless of what color the door is. you don't have to actually shoot the door (though it helps, if you have the beam). that's the whole reason we're looking for sws to bypass wave doors and whatnot.

Ah. That's cool then. I never did any SWs myself really. Maybe I should, to understand the mechanic better. Mind explaining how the adjacent room loading thing works then, as far as you know that is? Just curious now.

Relax, I'm just trying to prevent people from pursuing impossible feats. Don't take your anger out on me.

you want to stand either on top of or below the door, then jump sideways into where the room would be. usually this will load the room, but some rooms are tougher to get to load then others. shooting the door with the proper beam definitely helps.
if you're trying to load a door without shooting it, it can come down to a lot of random jumping around the door until it loads ... there are people better at it than me though who can do it more consistently.

Rooms that are completely squared off are basically impossible to adjacent load. Vent Shaft comes to mind.
Ok, I think I just figured something out that could be VERY useful.
Right now, one of two big barriers with varia is getting out of far phendrana. I don't think that's actually an issue! If we can find a way into phazon mines without varia (through the mines elevator or the twin fires area), I think everything would be solved. We could get power bombs in the mines and then go back to tallon to get x-ray. We'd get plasma with the theoretical workstation sw. Then, use the same trick to get into the mines again, and beat op. Then we could head in through phendrana the front way to get wave and not have to worry about that bombu sw!
I'm going to look for SWs in TFT and the elevator room tonight for fun. For TFT though, I was wondering about the door-warp method. I saw it done that way in Crashed Frigate. Something about hollow doors? Would that be something to look at? Tks anyone.
i'm not so sure a sw in tft would be very helpful since you'd be taking damage the whole time while in there. the rooms that'd be best to use imo are the elevator right before tft and in twin fires itself.
