If you can't enter Prime 2's room directly, could you just enter Prime 1's last room? Would it be possible to get around the wave parts that way?

his behavior is random at that point so you can't know what shield it will put up. i also doubt you can damage him enough for him to not cycle though all the shields (he has some weird switching phases sometimes)

Has anyone tried wallcrawling into a heated room, then just morphing and dropping as far as possible? If by some chance heat damage is a collision box and not just "damage you if you are in the room", it might be possible to drop below the hit box, walk way out to the side of it, float up above it, then drop onto the next door and quickly shoot it, then drop back down before you die, repeat.

I almost hope it doesn't work, because imagine how many times you'd have to wait for a float.

I only skimmed the thread, so sorry if it is mentioned already.

i'd say varia is what we should all try to skip with any% as long as we dont have any tanks and see if thats even posalbly

well idk if anyone elce tryed but cant get any where with out varia or tanks the only way i could see this hapening is and i know its sould crazy but we need to get ibbf well i guess its not really before cuz the only way you could get into the SW for IBBF is with floaty jump or SJ so you'd have to get FJ then not get the varia then go all the way arownd to the sun tower (i think thats what its called) fight the chozo ghosts get the artifact and then wall crall to the ice beam and then got phazon mines and find a SW wall crall to OP and fight him with just power beam and Ice bean ( D: just the thoght of that fight makes me want to cry) oh and some how get x-ray for the fight, will have fun skiping varia i think 21 is that best thing we can really do without looking att the games codeimg and finding another way to triger the ridly fight cuz after that wave beam may also be posalbly if we can start the ridly fight some how

iirc, ice beam can be gotten without space jump. i'm almost positive that you can enter through gathering hall and then just wallcrawl to ice beam.

you then can make your way to the mines through the front but then...there's a wave beam door! from what i can remember this is the only thing stopping 20%.

there was also the idea of going through the back of the mines but this impossible because of the wave beam door in twin fires.

iirc, the only solutions to 20% are either a secret world in the mines' elevator or a twin fires secret world. you must be able to enter both secret worlds without space jump.

also, if you find a way to negate the heat damage, that works too :p

well i dont think there is a SW in the elevator with out AR witch is cheating and all but twin fires mabey? unless we can find an even higher bomb jump i cant see geting to phazon mines without wave beam

I think that the elevator sw is more likely, because the roof of the elevator is hollow, meaning you could jump through it and get to the sw if high enough. A fancy jump/bomb jump would have to get there, but with tas possibilities, it might be possible somehow.

The only other way to get into a sw (since twin fires is underground) would be through a clipping glitch, maybe like in corruption's hillside vista sw. That would just take some thorough exploration.

no it's not. some elevator rooms have hollow ceilings but not this one. if it did, 20% would already be solved afaik.

I'm almost certain it's hollow; it's just really high up. We also tried the magmoor/tallon elevator and that one's not hollow, because if you shoot the ceiling, the shots get stopped. I thought we determined that the hollow ceilinged ones were the ones that can be shot through. You can definitely shoot through the phazon/tallon elevator, so that's what makes me think that it's hollow.

I also know that you can fit the morph ball on the little railings on the side, but it falls off really easily. That's why I'm thinking TASes would be useful. If you could bomb jump up the railings without falling off, you could probably get up into the tube in the ceiling. It looks pretty high from there to the hollow top, but maybe one of those wall hbj's could make it.

Was just about to say Floaty jump then I remembered it disappears on elevator, and it probably doesn't work with lava.

i've got a friend with AR and he was able to get in a SW in the elevator so if someone can get up there i think we have 20% :D (but even with space jump cant get out of that room, but i cant really UBJ well and i think we could use one of thos to get up there)

You can get fairly high up but still nowhere near the top. A ubj simply won't do it.

same here i was also testing on early e-tanks to and with floaty jump you can get five e-tanks witch is not a 20% but we might be able to skip varia with out space jump i guess thats kinda cool (i should have a video of how to get the tank up on my youtube channel with in like a week or so, but in the video i have space jump but im sure you can do it without) youtube.com/user/itsPersonnal

has anyone ever tryed skiping power bombs? i dont have my game with me to check but other then x- ray i can think of where you ever need it (well to get to phazon suit but we can use SW's to get there i think

also with skiping x-ray i think you can get the ISB (well you can but geting out off the wall is really hard or not posable) to work in the OP room so its a long shot but mabey you could get phazon suit with IS?

if anyone wants to try it just go to the top door and you go left just enough to pass the part in to door that, bla bla bla you know how to do IS

the main pbs are needed to break the tank for warrior. pretty sure flickerball has been tried here (using SWs to get a sticky spot) and it didnt start the fight.

Phazon suit is tied to the OP death cutscene. to get phazon suit without xray, we would have to start the death scene without the ability to damage OP.
flickerball will only start the OP battle. The cutscene will also remove flickerball. I can't recall anyone trying to re-acquire flickerball during the fight. If possible, it would require you to wallcrawl to OP from MQB so that you can abuse the upper rafters. The battle trigger extends to the top of the room. If you ceiling warp in (to get the map on the wrong room) and then shoot the door grey before starting the fight you can keep it from locking. of course he can still hit you with missiles up there, so even that might not buy you enough time to activate flickerball. After all that, chance are flickerball does nothing but make the fight unwinnable by way of lightshow. (do visors even 'work' under lightshow? beams and bombs get pretty screwed up.)

basically these two cutscenes have very specific triggers and making your location everywhere or whatever it is that flickerball actually does just isn't it.
Edit: tried flickerball during the OP fight. as expected, nothing interesting happens.
