sparky is almost positive you can get through tft with just one tank using the dash (going from the elevator -> tft -> tf). going the other way (using another dash) he says is even easier).

so you'd dash through tft, use the sw in tf (assuming we can find one), get plasma, then use the sw in geo core to get back out. so we're looking at two options:

1. do the above, go to far mines, use a potential sw in ppc, get pb, back to magmoor, use the sw in workstation, crawl to tf, dash through tft, get x-ray, go back down to mines to kill op, etc.

2. go to near mines, use a potential sw in the elevator room, get pb, back to magmoor, use the sw in workstation, get plasma, crawl to tf, dash through tft, get x-ray, go back down to mines to kill op, etc.

the magmoor/tallon elevator is out. sparky was testing earlier and said there's no way in hell you'd be able to wallcrawl through tft with one tank.

also if we find one in tf we'd also need to confirm there's one in ppc.

Coming to tallon from the mines, you need to get to the top of gth, and those bars are still there. And afaik nobody's bomb jumped past them the other way yet.

You can bomb jump past it.
Ark, no, you cannot get rid of the bars without boost. One of the few spinners you can not manipulate...

do you even need to get over those bars though to get x-ray? maybe i'm forgetting but don't the bars just connect you to the chozo elevator? who cares about that?

Nope, the bars separate the lower (phazon/crashed frigate) from the top (chozoruins/xray)

Either way it's really not a problem at all, it's quite easy to skip

TFT is going to be interesting. I agree with sparky however, wallcrawling through with one etank does not really appear viable as you barely survive INSIDE the level going through.

yeah it's impossible. it's barely possible to get through with the dash, which is way faster than running through a sw. also you'd need to aether jump and skywalk through tft anyway because of the spider track's positioning. so a sw in the tallon-magmoor elevator is totally out. best chance is finding one in twin fires.

General observation - awesome work guys. I love the activity this discussion has sparked. People attempting stuff all over the place. Seems like it re-ignited a lot of interest in MP1.

always move fast

made some videos of stuff i tried. the first is just playing around in twin fires. i figure there's some remote chance that you can enter a sw similar to burning trail, or maybe do some weird stuff with the stalactite collision (maybe as it starts to fall or something). the video shows how you can get over there (with sj =/), but it'd be a lot better for someone with ar to go play around. alternately, maybe if you're in the lava and one falls on you you can somehow clip through the ground or something. i've gotten stuck a few times, but no luck there.

second is just some attempts through tft with no sj/no varia/no energy tanks. only tried a couple times and got pretty close, so i figure it's possible.
