Relevant text:I haven't read this topic because fuck you guys, but I will say that it bothers me when people say that 2 NEEDS a remake, with the tone that it's inadequate in some way. I wouldn't mind if it got a remake, mainly because it would mean a new 2D metroid, but the original does not NEED a remake. It's a brilliant game and it does a fair few things better than any other game in the series.
No one likes us I don't know why. We may not be perfect, But heaven knows we try. But all around even our old friends put us down Let's drop the big one And see what happens.
We give them money, But are they grateful? No, they're spiteful, and they're hateful. They don't respect us, so let's surprise them We'll drop the big one and pulverize them.
Asia's crowded, Europe's too old, Africa is far too hot, and Canada's too cold. And South America stole our name Let's drop the big one, There'll be no one left to blame us.
We'll save Australia, don't want to hurt no kangaroos. We'll build an American amusement park there, They got surfin' too!
Boom! goes London, Boom! Paree More room for you and more room for me. And every city the whole world round, Will just be another American town.
Oh, how peaceful it'll be! We'll set everybody free! You'll wear a Japanese kimono, baby And there'll be Italian shoes for me! They all hate us anyhow So let's drop the big one now, Let's drop the big one now!
The concepts presented in the videos are common and widely accepted there. Yes, I do think the world would be better off without those things going on. If that makes me a terrible person then so be it. I guess hating people who do terrible things makes me terrible too. Maybe we should just all die ?! Give me a break, man. I think those people are awful - plain awful.
So do the children have to die too, or just the adults?
Relevant text:I've stickied this thread because I feel that many of the issues raised are extremely valid ones. I don't want to say much right now because I'm tired as hell and can't devote as much attention to it as it deserves. What it deserves is serious thought and consideration, and I will give it my best shot as soon as possible, like tomorrow if I have time.
On the other (and far more controversial side) hand, I'm very much against gay couples adopting. This is nothing to do with them being gay, it has to do with a child's psychological development in yearning both guidance from a father figure and a mother figure.
So children should be removed from single-parent households and placed in protective custody, of course.
FACT 1: No one in this entire world is 100% straight or gay. Sexuality is incredibly complicated within each individual and many different factors contribute to any given person's sexual identity.
FACT 2: Everyone can choose to become sexually involved with either gender.
FACT 3: People cannot choose who exactly, gender or otherwise, they can be happy with and fulfilled by in terms of a sexual relationship.
FACT 4: Homosexuality does not have to be genetic for there to be no choice involved about how straight or gay an individual is. If everyone is born neutral and the sexual identity is built up during the early life, that is still far beyond a person's ability to control. If, to take an absurd scenario, everyone who sees a stop sign at the instant they become seven years old will grow up fancying their own gender, that doesn't mean that they necessarily know this or are able to choose whether or not to do this. Even if they were, as a rule, able to choose, they would be too young at seven to be able to intelligently make this choice and should not be held accountable for this in their adult life, whatever form that accountability might take.
