Post preview:Haha, Opium, I was doing the EXACT same thing today, getting the last few stars, then I was like "wait, aren't there twice this many?", so I looked online and found it. I think the hardest power stars were the ones in the last world - the Luigi purple coin one, the rainbow road ones, and the Thwomp ones especially.
I'm beginning to think that the missile count is going to be very small this time around. Almost looks like you only get one per expansion, since the count has been at varying numbers throughout the various gameplay videos with no consistent pattern that I can find. (Think 25 is the max I've seen in one of those, but I bet it goes to at least 50.)
Yep. At the end of the third video, you can see the player picking up a missile expansion, and the missile count goes from 15 to 16.
they made the worst move by not selling the Trilogy version in Canada and U.S.A. I know they sold it for limited time in America but they should have made it full time in America and Canada.
I live in the US and I have it.... You could also buy it online.
Post preview:I wouldn't be surprised if the Gravity Suit was back - it's pretty cool, and it's dumb to make another item that does the same thing but doesn't look as cool.
Post preview:I've always thought that it would be better to believe in God and end up having it not be true than to not believe and have it end up being true.
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it, right?
Post preview:Finished up until you get back to your ship after the Power Bombs. Also changed a couple rooms in Norfair before Speed Booster. Go ahead and play around in the landing site a bit after Power Bombs, if you want.
Post preview:I don't think so. People at SDA are pretty picky about quality, and right now the only way to record DS runs are with over-the-shoulder cameras.
Post preview:Alright, I made a few changes that make some of the hidden passages easier to find. I still couldn't figure out how to fix the 2x2 block on the left in 7A408 (the room right before where the Spazer Beam was in the original). The one on the right works, and even if I copy and paste that to the left, it doesn't work.
EDIT: I still have to block off the Power Bombs though.
Virtualization: We will NOT accept speedruns recorded on emulators (ZSNES, VBA, DOSBox, etc.) or other virtualization software (Wine, VMware, etc.). Emulators commonly allow for recording games frame-by-frame and then playing back the input at normal speed. Also, most emulators and virtualization programs have minor inaccuracies in timing and slowdown that inhibit accurate comparisons between runs. Finally, it is generally illegal in most countries to obtain ROMs. Note that an exception is made for officially sanctioned emulators such as the Game Boy Player for GameCube, Virtual Console, or GameTap. Due to problems with many official emulators, however, we prefer that you play on the original hardware whenever possible.
Basically, if it's emulated, it doesn't count (unless it's an official emulator like the Gameboy Player).
